Okay....So what can I say...I am not a good blogger. I just feel like I don't have the time and then when I do have the time...well...it's not always in my top 5 things to do. Sometimes I just want to sit still and do nothing. Oh, well...just a thought! I really don't have a lot going on other than Kel and Kal dancing and Kal playing t-ball. Kat is not doing anything right now. She and Kel just got through playing b-ball. The girls are taking SAT/ARMT this week and then next week we will have Spring Break! Yea!!!!!!!!!!! Sleeping late, staying up late, and sitting by the pool (weather permitting and husband permitting). Blake wants to plant a garden and he wants to do that next week. Sounds like fun...maybe some family time. I am just talking... I thought about letting my blog go, but my husband said "NO, I like reading the blog. When are you going to post again?" So this post is for you Blake for whatever it is worth. I love you Blake, hope you have a good night at work! For the rest of you good night and may God richly bless your life.

Kim

  5. Well, I thought as the man of the house that I may need to leave a comment too. You are darn tooten we are gonna' plant a garden!!! When I was growing up, I remember picking peas all summer and just staying outside. I feel it is necessary to ensure that my girls know how to live off the land. You never know, we may have to one day. You can always make sure your neighbors have plenty too. Life was better when there were more dirt roads. Think about it. Will our children have the chance to walk bare footed all summer long, play in the woods, never even think about being abducted by a crazy person? Will they know what it was like to play with what you have and not want the latest GI Joe with the Kung Fu grip, or a MP3 player. When I was a kid, we sang songs about cowboys and Airborne Rangers and stuff. We had a tree house that our Daddy did not build. Hey, we never got hurt too bad and we never worried about dirt that washed off. Just food for thought. I can rant sometimes, but isn't that what blogging is about?

  7. Sounds like Blake and Daddy have been spending time with one another based on his thoughts about us having to live off the land one day--Daddy still believes it!!

I must say that I LOVED growing up where you currently live and walking the dirt roads with my brothers and their many friends, playing in the woods walking to the creek, climbing trees, and all the other stuff that we kiddos could get into without a care in the world. I'm glad that we have our own Kelley/Hardy/Turman compound so we can look after one another in this CRAZY world and watch our children grow up enjoying the peacefulness of living out in the country.

DON'T GET RID OF YOUR BLOG!!!! GREAT COMMENT MR. BLAKE!! :)

  10. Kim, I wanted to thank you for asking me to pray for your nephew. I read your comment on Heart Choices and wanted to let you know. Prayer is a privilege we have and so I will join you on behalf of your nephew.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie

  11. Mrs. Turman. I just happened to come across your blog and was amazed to find a familiar old face of an old friend. My name is Vern Davidson. I was stationed with your husband at Ft. Campbell from 93-96 and had lost touch with Blake. If you can, please have Blake e-mail me at bean.davidson@charter.net

    Thanks, much!
